racer96's Diaryland Diary

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fishy fishy fishy.

I recently cleaned up my aquarium at work, and went nuts with fish.

It's nice to have an aquarium at work, as it's something relaxing to go look at every once in a while.

The bad part about aquariums though, is that fish do not tend to be long life partners. As far as longevity goes, fish kinda suck.

Now, before you go off and report me to PETA or something, please know that I do try to take great care of my fish. I feed them the best foods. Snacks, nice places to live, yet they still like to die on occasion.

The nerve of those ungrateful little fishes.

Through research and google, I found that female bettas (siamese fighting fish) can be kept together in a large enough tank.

I've always liked bettas, because they can have some of the nicest colours possible in a tropical fresh water fish.

The problem with them, however, is that they tend to like to fight (as the name would suggest).

Another thing that I found out through my dilligent research, is that females are actually the meaner of the two. However, if you stick enough of them together, they create their own little pecking order, and don't kill each other.

Just like real life.

As I was looking over my fish today, I realized that I was missing one betta. I figured that she was just hiding, but every time I went over there to have a look, I couldn't find her.

Then, at the end of the day, my father came by and I asked him to once again help me look for my missing fish.

Yes, I had lost a fish in a fish tank. That's got to be some sort of record.

Anywho. As it turns out, the fish had died yesterday, and my father had scooped him out. He just failed to mention it to me, and again failed to mention it to me the first two times that I went looking for her.

Poor powder blue fishy.

In completely unrelated news (unless the fish has somehow put a curse on me) myleft knee likes to do something weird and feel like it's trying to rip itself out of my leg sometimes.

It's happened twice today, and I have no idea why.

It only seems to hurt when I move it from one type of position to the next.

Feel free to play doctor and diagnose my injury.

Ok, I need to finish more stuff, so I'm outta here.

Two updates in a row. You'd almost think I've gotten back into the swing of things.
